The Light of the World [Resource]
Do you remember Chick Tracts? Most of us do. Those cartoon-style Gospel tracts that did a very good job at visually and clearly conveying God’s truth. Today, I want to draw your attention to a video produced by the same people that can be a powerful witnessing tool for your Deaf Ministry.
We have covered other videos on Reach the Deaf before (here and here), and today I want to introduce you to another video to present the Gospel. The video is titled “The Light of the World,” and is about the true Light of the World, Jesus Christ. I love how the video starts in Genesis and explains the Gospel all the way to the cross and Jesus’ death upon it. I will warn you, it is a long movie, about an hour and 20 minutes long. However, the message is crystal clear and doctrinally sound. Additionally, the signing is truly top notch in the ASL version of the of this video (if you look, they offer it two dozen different languages). I truly cannot recommend this resource enough.

We used it for an activity. We had a showing of the video and a fellowship afterwards. I was a little concerned that the length might turn some people away, but that was not an issue. We had a decent turnout and the Gospel clearly went to all those who came!
If you want to preview this video, you can do so here. Or by watching the embedded video below.
Additionally, if you wish to order a copy for your Deaf Ministry (which I highly recommend supporting the people who put so much time and effort into creating such a wonderful resource) you can buy it directly from Chick Publications.
“The Light of the World” is a doctrinally sound, flawlessly communicated, clear presentation of the Gospel offered in many languages (including ASL). You can buy it here.
