“Thousands of deaf people die everyday and go to hell. And people ask me when I’m going to retire. I can’t!” – Jim Sloan
This week is the annual Deaf Baptist Fellowship of America (DBFA) in Columbus, Ohio! I took down this quote at last year’s DBFA and recently came across it in my notes. I thought it would be appropriate to share it this week.
The quote speaks for itself. We, as ministers, leaders, preachers, and teachers have serious work to do. People, Deaf people, Deaf people in your town (and mine) need the Gospel! The stakes are never higher than when eternity is in the balance and we, as the church, are God’s plan to bring the Gospel to the world. There is no better place to learn how to do that and meet people who are out there on the front lines than at DBFA. I hope to see you in Columbus!
